Over the course of KCP&L summer internship, interns experience:
- Meaningful, mentor-led projects
- Presenting to our executive staff and peers
- Tours of our facilities, including power-generation sites
- Networking events, including baseball games and mixers
- Lunch-and-learn opportunities to understand other parts of the company
- Group volunteer events
To be considered for an internship with us, candidates must have at least a 2.8 GPA. We are primarily seeking students with a focus in computer science or electrical, mechanical, metallurgical, chemical or civil engineering. They also have opportunities for students majoring in finance/accounting, supply chain, marketing/communication and human resources.
