We offer several paid internship programs, including:
College to Corporate (C2C) Internship Program
Designed for high-potential undergrads who demonstrate leadership abilities, academic achievement and are completing their sophomore or junior year of college.
During this 10-week paid internship, you will participate in a structured development program, learning about Vanguard’s investment and service philosophies and how Vanguard functions as a business. You will also gain the experience and knowledge you need to navigate a large corporate environment. Participants will be assigned to departments based on business need.
Qualifications (C2C – Business)
- A cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (preferred)
- Effective leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications (C2C-IT)
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (preferred)
- A major in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical or engineering discipline
- Effective analytical, leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment

MBA Summer Internship Program
Designed for full-time, first-year MBA students with demonstrated academic achievement and exceptional communication, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
This 10-week, paid summer internship program focuses primarily on finance, project management, and client relations. Participants will gain valuable insights into these departments, and learn how Vanguard functions as a business. Participants will be assigned to departments based on business need.
Qualifications
- Preferred cumulative undergraduate and graduate GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Five to eight years of prior related work experience.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred for general management path.
- Previous investment management experience preferred for investment path.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Solid leadership and project management skills.

Corporate Financial Services (CFS) MBA Internship Program
Designed for full-time, first-year MBA students with demonstrated academic achievement, exceptional communication, analytical, critical thinking, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
This is a full-time, paid summer internship program is ideal for full-time, first-year MBA students. The program provides an unparalleled introduction to the role of a CFS Financial Analyst, and access to a network of Corporate Finance professionals from across our organization. As a leader in the financial services industry, Vanguard can immerse you in various business challenges, expand your expertise financial disciplines, and help you develop a broad understanding of our business.
Qualifications
- Preferred cumulative undergraduate and graduate GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Minimum of three years of related work experience.
- Demonstrate expertise in financial concepts and analytical capabilities in the preparation of financial analyses and models.
- Experience with Microsoft Office preferred, other analysis or database software acceptable.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to interface with people at all levels in the organization.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to quickly gain knowledge of unfamiliar business operations and technology and assertiveness to seek out information through contacts throughout the organization.
