Did you know that each day, PHI handles 13,000 customer phone calls? Every day, they respond and restore 144 electrical outages, and read 60,000 meters. Pepco replace 16 poles a day. Pepco deliver natural gas to 126,000 gas customers each day as well.

Finance & Accounting Internships
They recruit Interns in the following departments: Regulatory Affairs, Audit, Business Planning & Finance, and Treasury and Investment Management. The program runs from June through August of each calendar year. Fall & Spring Internships may be available during the school year.
- Must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in an accredited 4 year program
- Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting major
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, or other financial software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
- Must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher and satisfactory work
- performance while participating in the program
Engineering Internships
Provides engineering and technical assistance to engineers in The implementation of projects, studies, plans, and engineering activities for electric utility application requiring initiative and sound engineering judgment. Performs routine work that conforms to all project/task requirements and that requires a basic understanding and application of engineering theories, standards, concepts, and techniques. Works closely with engineers within the Company to help identify and quickly resolve emerging issues and contribute to problem solving.
- Must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in an accredited 4 year program
- Electrical or Civil Engineering major
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, or other financial software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale
- Must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher and satisfactory work performance while participating in the program
- Valid driver’s license and willing to travel to various PHI locations
- Must possess a basic understanding and knowledge of the application of engineering principles, theories, etc…
