Design
Design Trainee: JCPenney offers a 4-month trainee program in various areas of Design at the JCPenney Home Office located in Plano, TX post-graduation. During the program, you will be a valued member of a Design team, working on projects, presentations, trend research, competitive shopping and more. If you have what it takes to be a part of the Design team, you may receive an offer for an Assistant Designer position and may even see one of your designs in our JCPenney stores or on jcpenney.com!
Design co-op: JCPenney offers a 12-week co-op program in various areas of Design at the JCPenney Home Office located in Plano, TX (just 20 minutes north of Dallas). The co-op experience will be held during a fall or spring semester. During the co-op, you will be a valued member of a Design team, working on projects, presentations, trend research, competitive shopping and more. Upon successful completion of the co-op, you may receive and offer to complete an additional co-op or join JCPenney as a Design Trainee upon graduation.
Information Technology
IT Internship: As an IT Intern for JCPenney, you’ll be a part of the Information Technology team at our Home Office in Plano, TX (just 20 minutes north of downtown Dallas). You’ll take part in a fast-paced, 10-week internship which will consist of projects, activities and hands-on training to facilitate your learning. You’ll have the opportunity to engage with senior leaders and subject matter experts who will be mentoring and coaching you to success. During your internship, you will be assigned to a specific IT team where your responsibilities will be aligned within Business Solutions, Corporate Solutions, Infrastructure & Operations, Oracle Solutions, Security & Compliance, or Stores Solutions.
IT Trainee: Imagine learning from Information Technology teams who drive the success of a multi-million dollar business! As an IT Trainee for JCPenney, you’ll be a part of the information technology team at our Home Office in Plano, TX (just 20 minutes north of downtown Dallas). You’ll take part in a fast-paced, 16 week training period which will consist of projects, activities and hands-on training to facilitate your learning. You’ll have the opportunity to engage with senior leaders and other team members who will be mentoring and coaching you to success.
Omni Internship: As an Omni Intern for JCPenney, you’ll be a part of the team at our Home Office in Plano, TX (just 20 minutes north of downtown Dallas). You’ll take part in a fast-paced, 10 week training period which will consist of projects, activities and hands-on training to facilitate your learning. You’ll have the opportunity to engage with senior leaders and subject matter experts who will be mentoring and coaching you to success.
Supply Chain
Supply Chain Internship: The Supply Chain Leadership Internship spans 10 weeks the summer following your junior year and takes place in one of our many supply chain facilities across the nation. You will receive broad exposure to JCPenney operational training, job shadowing, leadership development and much more. You will gain the knowledge needed to lead an hourly team and influence the entire JCPenney supply chain network to do fast-paced work required to run our supply chain facilities as safely, efficiently, and most profitably as possible. You will have on-the-job structured experiences in each department while shadowing Field Supply Chain Leaders and learning about the state-of-the-art operations, develop your leadership capabilities by co-supervising in an assigned department and receive mentoring and leadership development to support your growth.

Supply Chain Trainee: The Supply Chain Leader in Training is a comprehensive 16-week training program following graduation that offers broad exposure to JCPenney, operational training, job shadowing, leadership development and much more. Training will take place in one of our supply chain facilities where we will provide you with access to the tools and resources needed to put your training into action. Throughout the program, you will have the opportunity to interact with facility leadership who will coach and mentor you throughout the 16 weeks.

Finance
Finance internship: In this 10 week internship, you’ll support the needs of the JCPenney Financial Planning & Analysis organization at our Home Office in Plano, TX (just 20 minutes north of downtown Dallas). You will be responsible for providing a high level of financial planning and analysis support to senior management for assigned business team(s). You will also help ensure company resources are used effectively and efficiently by providing sound financial analyses and tools that guide better management decisions. Through all of this you will engage with senior leaders and other team members who will be mentoring and coaching you to success.
Finance Trainee: As a Finance Management Trainee for JCPenney, you’ll be part of the finance team at our Home Office in Plano, TX (just 20 minutes north of downtown Dallas). You’ll take part in a fast-paced 16 week training period which will consist of projects, activities and hands-on training to facilitate your learning. You’ll have the opportunity to engage with senior leaders and other team members who will be mentoring and coaching you to success. After your 16-week training period, you will be assigned to a specific finance team where your responsibilities will be aligned within Audit, Controllers, Financial Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations, Procurement, Tax Services or Treasury.
Stores
Store Internship: This 10-week program is divided into weekly assignments that build on each other as you rotate through different areas within the store. During the summer before your senior year, you will focus on strengthening and refining the core competencies needed to work in the retail industry. Your training will blend online instruction with hands-on experience along with the guidance and mentoring of your store leadership team. You’ll also receive on-the-floor sales experience, training on product knowledge, and a holistic understanding of how the business works.

Store Trainee: The Store Management Trainee Program spans 16-weeks and is designed to prepare you to be successful in an Assistant Store Manager position. You will develop capabilities to achieve profitable sales growth by learning how to lead and engage associates to achieve top levels of performance. You will reinforce and support standards of operational excellence, creating an outstanding customer experience, and promoting overall store engagement initiatives.
