Internship Program
The Ford Summer Internship Program provides students with hands-on, career-specific experience through full-time work during summer break (from early-May through the end of August). Students are engaged in networking and educational activities throughout their internship to gain exposure to senior level management and to learn more about Ford, our values and career opportunities.
Most Summer Interns will have just completed their junior year of an undergraduate program or one academic year of a Master’s program and are expecting to graduate the following year. Generally, candidates are selected for having top academic standing, as well as exceptional leadership, communication and self-motivation skills.

Position Duties
Ford Motor Company’s Information Technology’s 10-12 week summer internship opportunity is for college Sophomores or Juniors pursuing technical Bachelor; or Master’s Degree students in a technical field. The internship is at our Research & Innovation Center in Palo Alto, CA and for current students at a local California school.
The intern program within IT evaluates students by offering them summer employment with meaningful and challenging assignments. If you have a successful internship you could receive an offer of full-time employment in our Information Technology Ford College Graduate (FCG) Program. Our FCG Program is a developmental and rotational program designed to provide key competency development and ongoing training to prepare individuals for an Information Technology career at Ford Motor Company/Ford Motor Credit Company.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates must be Sophomore or Junior College Students pursuing a Bachelor of Art or Bachelor of Science; or candidates pursuing a Master’s Degree in a Technical field (i.e. Computer Science)
Candidates must graduate and be available for work prior to September 2019
Candidates must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
Candidates must attend a local California university/school
