Actuaries are business professionals who solve complex problems involving uncertain future events. Using mathematics, statistics, economics & financial theory, actuaries evaluate the likelihood of such events, design creative ways to reduce the likelihood and decrease the impact of adverse events when they occur.

AXA US offers one of the most highly regarded summer actuarial intern programs in the country. Each summer, we invite a select group of talented college students to spend ten weeks learning from our actuarial team. For over 35 years, our program has provided summer interns with an in-depth look into a challenging and exciting actuarial career. Our offices are located in midtown Manhattan, Jersey City, NJ, and Charlotte, NC. We provide dormitory accommodations.

Our program combines on-the-job training with structured learning opportunities. You will work on projects within an AXA business unit, gaining first-hand experience with the techniques used to solve insurance business problems. Working closely with members of our actuarial staff, you will receive the personal attention and guidance that will allow you to make a meaningful contribution. Supplemental events include classes on actuarial exams, presentations on current actuarial topics and a diverse range of speakers covering numerous areas of the business.
