Buying and Planning Internship Spring 2018
Internship Summary:
- Interns are formally partnered with a seasoned Buyer/Planner and their team, within a specific division.
- During the program, Interns will experience what it is like to work in a fast paced buying and planning offices based in our NY Corporate Offices in our NY Store.
- Weekly seminars are given to expose you to the entire organization. Some of the speakers in the past have included CMO, CPO, CRO, CHRO, Divisional Merchandise Managers, Buyers, Director of Human Resources, VP of Ecomm/Marketing, Assistant Buyers, etc.
- Experience trips into the market, visit our branch stores, go competitive shopping with the Buying team. Store visits along with a trip to the Distribution Center.
- 12 week program
- Each student is required to work a set schedule each week based on their school schedule/availability. A typical day is from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.
- Each Intern is reviewed at the end of the 12 week session. Based upon the results, an Intern may have an opportunity to interview for potential entry level buying opportunities.
- Geared towards students that are entering their Juniors, Senior years in college or that have recently graduated looking to be apart of our Merchandising and Planning team.
